Sprout Learning is operated by Arbi Pro LLC, doing business as VaultPrintCo ("we", "us").

Contact us about privacy: hello@vaultprintco.com

1. The short version

  • Sprout Learning is for children ages about 4 to 11 to use with a grown-up. A parent or guardian opens the account.
  • We collect only what we need to run lessons: a parent email, a child nickname and level, and learning progress.
  • We never ask for a child's email, last name, photo, home address, or location.
  • No ads. No ad trackers. No analytics tools. No third-party scripts, pixels or chat widgets on the pages kids use.
  • A grown-up must confirm consent before any child profile can be created.
  • A grown-up can see, download, or delete everything at any time from Settings, or by emailing us.
  • We do not sell personal information. We do not share a child's information with other companies for their own use.

2. Who this policy covers

This policy covers the Sprout Learning website and app (the "Service"). It applies to parents and guardians who create an account and to the children whose profiles they add. If you are a child, ask your grown-up to read this with you.

Sprout Learning is directed to children under 13, so we follow the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the Federal Trade Commission's COPPA Rule. Arbi Pro LLC is the only operator that collects or maintains children's personal information through the Service. We operate in the United States and the Service is meant for families in the United States.

3. What we collect

From the parent or guardian - Email address and the name you give the account, and a password if you choose to sign in with one. You can also sign in with a link we email you. - A PIN of 4 to 6 digits that you choose, which keeps the grown-up area closed to children. - The year you were born, a checkbox that says you are 18 or older, and a checkbox that says you agree to the child privacy notice. We use these to confirm you are an adult, and we record the time you confirmed by email. - Your plan and purchase records (see section 9 for payments). - Optional: your email address for Sprout tips and free pages, only if you tick that box. It is separate from your account and the box is not ticked for you. - Messages you send to hello@vaultprintco.com.

For each child profile (entered by the parent) - A nickname (we suggest not using a full name) and a reading level, and display preferences such as large text and wider letter spacing. - Learning progress: lessons finished, answers, stars, stickers, skills practiced, minutes, results from games, and "paper minutes" a parent logs from workbooks. - For a classroom roster: a nickname and a group name for each student. No last names, photos or contact details.

Fluency recordings - Some lessons let a grown-up record a child reading aloud. A recording is made only when a grown-up taps Record and the browser asks for the microphone. The recording stays on the device that made it. We do not send it to any speech service or to any other company.

Collected automatically - Basic technical data needed to run the Service safely: a session cookie, the grown-up check, your IP address and browser type in short-lived server logs kept by our hosting platform, and error messages. We use these only to keep the Service working and secure. We do not use them to track a child across other sites or to show ads. - Read-aloud uses the speech voices built into your own device or browser. We do not send the lesson text or any audio to a speech service.

What we do not collect - A child's email, phone number, photo, video, precise location, government ID, or social media handles. Children cannot chat, post, or contact anyone through the Service, and nothing a child does is made public.

4. How we use information

  • To run lessons, save progress, and show a parent progress reports.
  • To create the learning logs, weekly summaries and invoices a parent asks for.
  • To manage the account, take payment, and send service messages such as sign-in links, confirmations and receipts.
  • To keep the Service secure and fix problems.
  • To send tips and offers only if the parent opted in. We never use a child's information for marketing.

5. No ads, no third-party scripts on child pages

  • The pages kids use have no ads and no third-party scripts, pixels, analytics tools or chat widgets. Fonts, images and sounds are served from our own servers.
  • There are no outbound links, prices, or purchase buttons in the child view. Links to books and printables, and anything about buying, are in the grown-up area only, after a grown-up check.
  • We do not use analytics or advertising tools anywhere in the Service. Payment pages load Stripe (see section 9).
  • We do not track you across other websites, so there is nothing to turn off if your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.

6. Who we share information with

We do not sell personal information, and we do not disclose children's personal information for advertising. We share limited information only with service providers who work for us and only for the reasons below:

ProviderWhat forWhat they can receive
Grok Build (the hosting platform that runs the Service, and the infrastructure it uses)Runs the app and stores its dataEverything stored in the Service, under our instructions
The email delivery service connected to our hosting platformSends sign-in links, confirmation links and service emailsParent email address and the message
StripeCard payments, subscriptions, receipts, invoicesParent payment details and purchase records. Never child data
MailerLite (only if you opt in)Optional tips listParent email only. Never child data

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or to protect our rights, and we will limit it to what is needed. If the business is sold or merged, information may move to the new owner, who must follow this policy or ask for your consent again.

Because we do not disclose a child's information to third parties other than the service providers above, there is no separate third-party sharing consent to give. If that ever changes, we will ask the parent for separate consent first.

7. Parental consent, and how long we keep information

Consent. Before a child profile can be created, the parent or guardian must (1) confirm they are 18 or older and give their birth year, (2) agree to this child privacy notice, and (3) confirm by a link sent to their email. The link works once and expires in 24 hours. When a parent pays by card through Stripe, the card payment is another sign that an adult is in charge of the account. We may add other consent steps over time. A parent can withdraw consent at any time (see section 8). We send a new notice and ask again if we make a material change to what we collect from children or how we use it.

Retention. We keep children's information only as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes below. We do not keep it forever.

InformationWhy we keep itHow long we keep it
Child nickname, level, preferences, progress, learning logTo run lessons and show reportsWhile the account is open. Deleted when the parent deletes the child or the account
Fluency recordingsSo a grown-up can play them backThey stay on the device that made them. We do not keep a copy
Account with no sign-inTo avoid keeping unused dataAfter 24 months with no sign-in we email the parent, and delete the account 30 days later unless the parent signs in
Record of consent (time and method, no child information)To show consent was givenFor up to 3 years after the account is deleted
Server logsSecurity and fixing errorsA short time, set by our hosting platform

Purchase records and invoicesTax and accountingUp to 7 years. They hold the parent's name or email and the purchase, and no child information
Tips list emailTo send tips you asked forUntil you unsubscribe

When information is no longer needed we delete it using reasonable measures to protect it during deletion.

8. Your choices and parent rights

A parent or guardian can, at any time, from Settings or by emailing hello@vaultprintco.com: - Review what we have about the child and the account. - Download it (JSON and CSV). - Delete a child profile or the whole account. Deleting an account is permanent and removes the account, child profiles and learning logs. If you have a paid plan, cancel it first so you are not billed again. - Withdraw consent or refuse further collection or use of the child's information. Doing so may end the child's use of the Service. - Opt out of tips emails at any time with the unsubscribe link.

We will respond to a request within 30 days. We may need to confirm you are the parent before we act. You can also tell us at hello@vaultprintco.com if you have a concern about how we handle children's information.

9. Payments, ESA invoices and receipts

  • Cards. Payments are handled by Stripe. We do not see or store full card numbers. Stripe's own privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy) applies to the payment page. The purchase records we keep are your name or email, the item, the amount and the date.
  • Invoices for programs that pay by invoice, such as an Education Savings Account (ESA). A parent can ask for an itemized invoice or receipt at hello@vaultprintco.com, and Stripe creates an invoice for purchases made on the Service. The invoice shows the items, the amount, the date and our business name. It does not include a child's name. If a parent types a child's legal name to print on a learning-log PDF, it appears on that PDF only and we do not save it.
  • Your program decides whether a purchase can be used. We do not tell you that any purchase is covered by any state program.
  • If a program pays us, we keep the payment confirmation we receive and link it to the invoice.

10. Classroom use

Classroom licenses are by request at hello@vaultprintco.com. A classroom roster uses nicknames and groups only. No child email, last name or other contact details are collected, and a school or program that uses the Service is responsible for having the right to give consent for its children.

11. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), access limits, and other reasonable safeguards. Only people who need access to run the Service can see account data. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information we will tell you as the law requires.

12. Cookies

We use first-party cookies only, to keep you signed in and to remember the grown-up check for a short time. They are not used for ads or to follow a child. Stripe may set its own cookies on its payment pages.

13. Links to other sites

The grown-up area may link to books on Amazon and printables on Teachers Pay Teachers. Those sites have their own privacy policies and we do not control them. There are no such links in the child view.

14. Your state rights

Some states give residents extra rights over their personal information, such as the right to know what we hold, correct it, delete it, or opt out of its sale or use for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for targeted advertising, and we do not use it to profile anyone. We honor every request described in section 8 from any parent or guardian, wherever you live, and we will not treat you differently for making a request. To make a request, email hello@vaultprintco.com from the address on your account.

15. Changes

If we change this policy we will post the new date at the top. If a change affects what we collect from children or how we use it, we will email the parent and ask for consent again before applying it to a child profile.
